OK, now it is October of 2009, and this has been going on forever! Just call it in, and refuse to give your soc-sec #! Holy crap it's been a long 20 minutes. I asked the tele-guy if his night consists of registering mac users visa cards, and he laughed and said yes. What a joke, I hate the digital age. Nothing is ever easily compatible!

I was able to activate my $50. card and was able to use it at one place, at one time only. The remaining money on my card was rejected at every store where I tried to use it. After you deducted an actavation fee and my one purchase I should have $10.88 left.
Now I read from the complaints that you deduct $2.00 per month during the time I cannot use it. This may be the reason I cannot bring up a balance at your balance site. It says only no record of card, when I submit my gift card number. This was a gift and, after this experience, I shall never buy your card.

So, I bought a gift card for myself so I could buy things online easier – I used a friend's PC to 'register' it, and it is rejected at every site I try.

100 dollars down the drain? WTH?

Is there anything I can do?

I received the card as a gift with $50 value. Can't access by telephone -their auto reply directs you to their web address. Did get into site but they claim my card # is invalid

Yup, never buying one of these cards again. What is this 1997 all over again by making your website exclusive to one browser? Their phone thing was quite terrible, asking me for the security code before it ever asked for the card number. Then of course it couldn't find my card number.

Bush league!

I received a gift card and tried to activate it and couldn't do it by telephone. I can't do it computer because you have to have IE and I have Firefox, I think they don't want you to use it they just want to charge you 2.00 a month until your money on the card runs out. BIG RIP OFF.

I did create an account because I received an invitation from a former colleague - too bad the invitation appeared to be issued by an automated system, and not the actual person.

Only today I decided to check what people though about the site. I agree with Disgrunted Naymz User, and I cancelled membership just now.

Reading the FAQs the most viewed topic is the blasted rep score and the second is... unsubscribing, go figure (the OP's bullshit alarm was right after all).

Linked-In is far better and quite frankly it looks, feels and is more professional and business oriented.
